Re: Re: Mick's Motoring South Coast Saunter
I've just noticed my name's on the list..... but for a meet up over near Rye (nor Ryan ! ) I'm afraid that's a bit of a treck for me - getting on for a 200 mile round trip I see you're passing near this neck of the woods, though I'll be at work as you pass by. I'll wave to you as you go though

I put you down at that point bobins because I didn't know where you would be, we could always drop by for a quick coffee if we are passing close?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Your name isn't on the list Ryan because the route goes nowhere near Letchworth but you are very welcome to join us at any of the intended stops!!

Hi Mick
Day and date fine, time a little early but don't want to upset your schedule so I will make a special effort. I don't function well in the morning.
Hope you trip goes well and look forward to seeing you.

That's great Peter. We'll target being with you at 11 if that helps a bit.

Re: Mick's Motoring South Coast Saunter
When I retired from BT I was managing chaps who were working a 37.5 hour week and I never expected to come across that number again, and I haven't until just now when I looked at the clock and realised we have just 37.5 hours to go before we set out on the Saunter. So, I'm still waiting to hear from Colin (Admiral51) re meeting in Poole on Friday evening. Confirmation from James and Mike for Tuesday evening together with the best venue to suit them and finally anyone else along the route who may be able to meet us for a coffee, a drink or lunch or dinner? It's Coming!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Re: Mick's Motoring South Coast Saunter
Never mind R&R the FCF expects a postcard a day, on POTD, as well as the blow by blow account on this thread as an absolute minimum from the Dynamic Duo on tour!!
Have a great trip Mick and Jim
EDIT. even better take up my challenge, support local business in a small way each day of the trip by actually buying an actual postcard, from an actual shop, hand write it and and photograph it back and front for the daily post on POTD. Some attempt at entertainment and amusement is a bonus but not compulsory.

You could really push the boat out and photograph yourselves outside the Judges postcard building on Bexhill road, Hastings. Quite a history to Judges postcards.

The original building is still there
