Very enjoyable watch Gibbo, with it being about the Somerset and Dorset Railway I imagine Jim might find it interesting too.

The Severn Bridge Junction Neil, I've changed trains there a few times, the worst place I've ever had the misfortune to change at, an open platform with little shelter the wind and rain blasting you from the Severn Estuary.
Sorry that's a mistake I was at the Severn Tunnel junction

Yes I agree with Neil, an interesting look back to the times when railways ruled the transport. Burnham is on our saunter route which starts next Thursday so it will be another site of change to view! :-D

I acquired a cheap caravan at Burnham (owner didn't want to pay the site fees), gave it to dad for a 65 birthday present, he and mom spent a lot of time there popping back and forth from Brum in their Morris 1000.

On the subject of trains, my grandson is working at Durham University (apprenticeship, not a student).
One day a week he has to go to Darlington.
Bought his ticket online but climbed aboard the wrong train, just a mistake.
He was charged £58 to travel from Newcastle to Darlington.
Wouldn't have been much more for a taxi.

Have a read of this, bit of history, and a bit of "yes you can" about the tiled maps
A handful of railway stations in the north of England still display a large, strikingly beautiful wall mounted map made of coloured, glazed, tiles. These are the survivors of several put up by the North Eastern Railway at the turn of the twentieth century.

The tile maps showed the entire NER passenger system, and were made at Jackfield tile works – now part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum – by Craven Dunnill and Company Limited.....

there's more https://www.northeasterntilecompany.co.uk/ and indeed yes you can! pocket depth and space permitting of course...
