Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Ah, didn't know we'd to spot them - saw one at the weekend too. Garden spiders are going ballistic, can hardly take 5 paces without finding your face full of a web!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
My pictures for today are a result of a morning's graft for the charity I do deliveries for. As well as supporting Hertfordshire's pet owners with supplies where they can't afford to buy the things themselves the lady I help out also runs a relief charity for Ukrainian refugees in Poland. She collects a vast array of donations from clothes and dried food to toys and Christmas trees!! Once every 6 weeks a Polish haulier calls to collect the donations on their return to Poland. On average there are 23-25 pallets of stuff and today I was helping her and her son load the truck which has to park 60 metres away from her storage bay in an old cucumber growing glasshouse!! It's slightly uphill too so you can imagine the hassle involved. Anyhow here is a picture of the glasshouse bay when we were almost finished, it had been lined down the full length on both sides when we started!! Followed by a couple of pics of the truck to give you an idea, now I'm shattered!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Well done Mick, and although a small part of the story those bits I have pulled out have resulted in a post for the "familiarity phenomenon and other unlikely co-incidences" thread which I am about to post up. Nice choice of adjective for your state after the work. Shattered in a glasshouse...mickthemaverick wrote: 13 Sep 2023, 16:32 old cucumber growing glasshouse!! picture of the glasshouse bay when we were almost finished, it had been lined down the full length on both sides when we started!!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Some years ago a friend of mine was going to buy a Morris Minor, it was for sale at a place in Sussex. When we got there I was amazed to see these huge green houses full of cars, well I say full there were dozens of them in there and still room for a race track. They looked like Dinky cars and there were some pretty big ones in there to. If I remember correctly it was winter but inside is was summer.

The FCF has a thread for most things.
This fits nicely here.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Not exactly a brochure shot, it was a bit drizzly, windy and dull at the coast, and little chance of dolphin spotting in a choppy sea. Built in the early 19th century by the 2nd Earl Grey of Howick Hall, the Bathing House is now a self-catering holiday home owned by Howick Trustees Ltd.
This little blog piece shows the bathing house on a sunny day!
