I find the speed limiter is a god send but when you look in the rear view mirror you see a queue of traffic, obviously none of them broke the speed limit to get behind you.........

My cars old but still has speed limiter and cruise control as many modern cars have. I have now put a sunflower sticker on the boot of the car and have noticed a MASSIVE difference on how other drivers treat you. Not saying anyone tailgated me but still.....they did, now they don't....

What is the significance of the sunflower?

It shows a disability whether visible or not, I have one on the car incase we break down. The highways agency are aware of what the sunflower signifies

I never knew that... It's good, especially as the emergency services are aware of its significance... It explains now why I see people wearing a sunflower lanyard...

I too was completely unaware, obviously.
It was years before I found out the significance of the "Child Onboard" placards.

Noticed in my peruse through Mathewsons auction catalogue for 1st/2nd September a Citroen AX for sale, bit cosmetically challenged. As Citroen AX correspondent for the Citroenian thought you may be interested from a journalist rather than a buying point of view . Also stumbled across an "I drive a classic" vid which featured a special edition AX the Chicago...again maybe of interest. In passing the Malaysian "Version" of the AX the Proton Tiara was mentioned which I had never heard of.

Vendors comments:

We have owned the car for the last 31 years - bought in 1992 from Bollingmores, a Citroen dealer in Twickenham.
The car was bought with 18,00 miles on the clock and it now has done 51,000.
It has been on the road all that time and has a full history for MOT and servicing.
This En Vogue version of the AX TRE11 is the last one on the road and it has all five original three spoke alloy wheels and Blaupunkt stereo.
The last MOT was done in June 2023 and the car has a recently fitted new alternator.
The car has had plenty of admiring views over the years and can be seen on Flickr!
We have hardly used the car over the last five years and hope it will now go to a good home and someone who can give it some TLC.

It's been a busy day today...

Sally is now prepared for her new owner and has her back seats refitted... She was without them for 7 years!

And given a good interior clean...

Then I got myself another Picasso. A very early pre-production prototype... Amazing to think they started developing this fine vehicle in 1998

Sally gave that number to Polly. R26 TYC, for my own very personal reasons, has deep significance.

And now Sally wears an age-related plate...

Sadly, she's more like a polo mint Ryan The mint with the hole... A great big one and a little one in one of her sills... Nothing a few sparks from a welder won't fix - one hopes. Although one chassis member looks a bit suspect...

Yes, she's off to a good home and will be fixed. She's far too good to be scrapped. And she'll not be falling into the hands of a boy-racer

My main reason for parting with her is she no longer meets my needs and is no longer comfortable for me on a long journey. The more van-like driving position of the Picasso is much better for me.
