Hello, my bx speedometer is dead. It stuck for a while and then died, with some mechanical cloncking. The clock seems to work with a drill to drive it. does the cable ened replacing or what?
I can't quite see how the cable is routed either, and tips?.

There are actually two cables-a bottom half and a top half. Follow it up from the gearbox end-its oily but obvious, and held in place on the gearbox with a slippery rubber wedge thing, you will probably need to give it a good dousing in jizer or gunk or parrafin to see how it fits.
Follow the lower cable up and you will find the join between the cables near where it goes into the bulkhead: one of these two cables will have died so you will have to check each of them seperately to find out which!!
