Took C2 VTR in for left front door not locking when I lock drivers door with key(Central locking not working), car went into eco mode because of doors open to long, Now car would not start at all. It was 100% running.
Eventually collected car and took to another auto electrician. Got ECU and BSI tested all in good order. But still not starting. Battery light flashing and eco mode still displayed on screen.
Coil packs tested and ok. Injectors working fine but no spark on plugs, It cranks 100% but not not starting. I should mention that the auto electrician found a plug @ headlights that was not connected and just plugged it in.
Hope someone can help.

Which engine is fitted?
ECO mode is a red herring, as it does not affect engine starting.
You probably need to have a diagnostic session to read live data when cranking the engine to check cranking speed and other parameters. It could also be an immobiliser fault.

What Eco Mode does (after a normal maximum of 30 minutes, depending on circumstances) is to turn off everything unnecessary to start the car (such as, but not limited to, the radio and the electric windows). That way the battery should not be drained of enough charge to start the car.

OOps, wasted your time there (no disrespect). The drivers door key (lock) is not electrically connected to anything! It's only mechanically connected to the drivers door lock. It is literally for emergency unlocking of the drivers door! The passenger door has a manual lock beside the door catch in the door. To lock it in the event of electrical failure. The driver is expected to lock and unlock the car with the key fob only. Any other method is for emergencies only ( I didn't design it so don't get mad at mechristo123 wrote: 21 Aug 2023, 15:06 Took C2 VTR in for left front door not locking when I lock drivers door with key(Central locking not working),
HOWEVER if you are saying the remote central locking was not working that's a different kettle of fish.
I am assuming you have the TU3JP(KFV) engine. The good news is they are simple and not a lot can go wrong. The bad news is I cant add much more than the other fellows.
What year is the C2? If it's post 2005, the engine won't "crank over" if the engine ECU is not happy. And something should pop up in the central display.
If it's pre 2005, the ignition lock is directly connected to the starter and will crank in most circumstances. Being a VTR I assume it has sensodrive? If that's the case at least the sensodrive is OK otherwise it would lock out the starter.
What do you mean by "injectors working fine"? Do you mean the injectors were pulled out and tested OR you have definitive proof that the injectors are injecting fuel into the engine? It makes a big difference.
