Good day.
May I kindly ask for advice sorting out the gremlin-problems pestering my beloved C2's rear electrics
- Day 1: the rear window wiper stopped working.
- Day 2: If switch on the rear window defogger, the rear window wiper sprang to action. No defogging however.
- Day 3: Now nothing happens when I switch on the rear window defogger. BUT: now the rear window wiper makes shorts slow moves whenever the brake pad is tapped slightly (not fully pressed down), and the rear window break light is happily shining along
- Day 4: Rear window wiper is still slowly moving whenever the brakes are applied. BUT NOW, the rear window brake light has left the building.
- If I disconnect the rear window wiper's electrical supply unit to the wiper motor. NOW the boot does not open!
- I physically checked the wiring to the rear and all are fine. No wiring issues.
Its been 3 weeks now and the weirdness still continue.
Any suggestions where I might find the gremlin causing all of this?
Kind regards.

Yes, it's called Citroen, it's what they do, it keeps it entertaining. Have you checked all connections on the battery? Also, have you disconnected the battery for a period of time following the manufacturer instructions?

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Re: Citroen C2 rear electrics going mad (Gremlins suspected)
My C2 can display assorted electrical oddities when the battery becomes slightly discharged, front wipers moving to vertical position when car parked, wipers only working on full speed until the car has driven a while, low coolant and overheat warning immediately after startup, as a C2 diesel it has an electric heater which certainly knocks the battery about on short winter journeys, an overnight charge returns everything to normal.
