Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I turned our radiator temp down to 60 last August and the house was fine throughout the winter. Must have helped with our downward trend in energy consumption!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I'll be doing the same Mick. The 70 degree target temperature mine's currently set to is far too hot! I briefly turned on my heating last evening after coming in feeling chilly after my TT race and I almost got third-degree burns from my heated towel rail
This was me last evening. Definitely worth a slot in POTD... I was head-down and going for it

Walking through Westfield shopping centre I spotted these, one is definitely a trailer, not sure about the others

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

I always love an H Van
I have many, but all in model form...
Is that last one full of asha?
Whenever I see the word brim I always think of the song 'Brimful Of Asha' by Cornershop... Asha in Hindi means hope...
That song has some great lyrics about what makes the best pillow

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Autumn, my granddaughter, is currently enjoying a week away at Guide Camp with her mum
Adult Guide Leaders are positively encouraged to take their children to camp.
Robyn tells me Autumn is loving every minute and is dissipating her energy so effectively she's sleeping even better than her mum...
Here she is, fast asleep in her carrycot in her tent - hence the blue cast on the photo...
This little girl has had more adventures at 10 months than many kids have at 10 years old! At ten years old I fully expect she'll have climbed Everest the way she's going...

Quite ornate.
This one is a bit more rough and ready, just ordinary less-artistic wasps efforts.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Gives me the heebie-jeebies just seeing wasps nests. I'm not good around wasps and for many years, queens have over-wintered in my garage attic.
Happily, in our big clear-out of the attic we saw no evidence. Now it's clear and empty they may stay away...
Hope so...
We did some good work yesterday. I really should have taken a before picture but this is what it looks like now.
It'll soon be populated with some stuff from the house attic I'm keen to keep. That one has to be emptied to insulate it and board it out.
Currently, my garage attic only contains a small stash of AX and bike spares.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
More pictures of the Day contributed by FCF Member Aneesh from Lisbon over on the Bargain Basement Electric thread after a bit of encouragement from yours truly. He has started his electric adventure with a new shape 2018 Leaf which had done a whopping 218,000 km when he recently bought it. First of many posts I hope, and a new story to follow.
Aneesh runs what I call a "detached hybrid" , a C5 for his longer motoring journeys, and now his electric Leaf for his day to day motoring.

Who told them a H van shares tyres with a 2CV??
I'm not keen on wasps either, can whole heartedly recommend NOT standing on a slightly dozy but nevertheless very much annoyed queen wasp whilst in your socks! Ow, right in the arch if my foot! Last time I venture into the loft in socks, stick with shoes.
Here's another mushroom picture, turns out was an even bigger one hiding under the hedge:

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
In my view this definitely warrants an appearance on POTD as it may be missed by some on the various classic threads. If ever you wanted to watch an auction price run to silly heights I think this may be the one. Spare 5 minutes to read through the details and you will see what I mean!! I doubt I could afford the potential deposit, never mind the hammer price!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Not being that knowledgeable about Mini Coopers, I was a little surprised to see first the Morris name emblazoned across the green of the rocker cover in the pics, followed up by a pic of the handbook with Morris Mini Cooper as the title. (er...never noticed the obvious title to the particulars just went straight to the pictures). The title describes it as a Morris Minor Cooper mk 1 (slip of the keyboard or was that what it was originally called
)
I was expecting it to be branded an Austin Mini Cooper.
Bit of a look up job was required, it came in both flavours
Was the Morris the rarer of the two
Neil
