Hi All,
I have a 308 SW 2013 plate, and I wondered if I could install a cruise control stick on this easily?
I watched a YouTube video - It seemed to be very straightforward, however when taking the plastic trim off, it is clear that the brake and clutch configuration is different and I don't appear to have the wiring as laid out in the video in the same/places.
Does that mean my car isn't compatible, or that it's just wired differently?
Thanks

Re: Cruise control stick
You need to ensure you have the correct stalk. There are 2 types:- one with Cruise only (part 6242Z9) and one with cruise and speed regulation (part 6242Z8).

Re: Cruise control stick
As your vehicle's VIN doesn't show either system as fitted, it is not telling me (that's why we use the VIN to get the correct parts), so I can't help you myself on this. The only thing I can do is provide you with the part numbers for each and then it will be up to you to experiment - but be warned, you'll also need to configure whichever option correctly with PP2000 / Diagbox in the BSI once you have connected the unit. So remember to take screenshots of any current settings before changing anything as there's no backup!
Part: 6242Z9 (cruise only)
Part: 6242Z8 (Cruise and limiter)
Part: 6242Z9 (cruise only)
Part: 6242Z8 (Cruise and limiter)

Re: Cruise control stick
I would say by the age of the car it would be the dual function type however you wont be able to get the limiter function to work in the car unless you have the 'hard spot' on the accelerator pedal & its already wired. If you push the pedal down till it stops then press it a little bit harder do you get a click & the pedal moves down a little bit more?
Im sure there are some on here that have used the cruise only stalk on a model with cruise + limiter & the cruise worked fine.

Hi wheeler,
Yes I think it does have the hard spot, only way I can describe it is like a kick down on an automatic, it goes like 95%, becomes stiff and then drops about another 5%. Does that sound a bout right, and sorry for the delay, I've been mega busy with holidays, work and life!
