TPS SENSORS
has anybody used aftermarket TPS sensors would the ECU automatically pick them up or would they have to be added to the ECU have seen some on e-bay for a 1/4 of the price of a citroen one

Sensors need programming to the Under Inflation ECU. They have to be both activated and paired. This involves using an exciter tool and Diagbox or another professional level diagnostic tool to do this. As for compatibility I can't answer that as there are different types and aftermarket ones may not be compatible unless stated and matched with the manufacturer part numbers.

There are aftermarket sensors where the sensor itself is programmable and is a clone of the original one. The new valve is programmed to have the same ID number as the old one, so the ECU doesn't see any difference.
You need to program either the ECU or the valves. Either way, you or the garage need whatever equipment is needed to do this.
