Peugeot RCZ 1.6 Petrol 156 turbo cutting out

Hi,

Having repeated issues with my turbo cutting out. Cut out recently and cleared fault codes but would cut out weekly- engine management light shown so took it into Peugeot specialist and below codes shown;

P2600 turbo cooling coolant pump control: open circuit
P023C control of the coolant pump actuator: short - circuit to the battery plus

Replaced turbo coolant pump with genuine Peugeot part.

Not even a week later, turbo has cut out again but no engine management light/ any dash light has appeared.

Besides turbo cutting out, mpg changes erratically; Anything between 20-999.

Please can someone help point me in the right direction of what could be causing the issue?

Can you describe more clearly the symptoms of the "turbo cutting out"?

Turbo stops completely. Normal acceleration/laggy in higher gears

You could disconnect one of the pipes from the turbo and see if you can turn the impeller by hand if it has stopped and is not spinning.

You need to connect a diagnostic tool which can monitor live data and check both the requested and actual boost pressure, to determine if the ECU is commanding that boost is cut.
You might also want to check the boost sensor in the pipe going over the engine.
