208 Gears up perfectly but not down

Hi,

I got P1755 fault code on my ETG5 Peugeot 208.
Then i tried to drive but (both engine fails on the screen is on, and service fault is on) The car perfectly changing gears to up like 1-2-3-4-5

But never down, you can not downgear on manuel mode or in automatic mode. But if you go for N after D it changing gears. I mean if you are going with 60kmh with 5th gear and you push the brake, then If you put the gear in N and put it in drive mode, it changing in to a low gear.

I spent 2.000 USD and changed the gear actuator, and clutch actuator but nothing changed still same issue.

Can anyone help me? Because i am really feeling bad right now.

You need to have the vehicle properly diagnosed with a professional level tool and report the fault codes here. Changing the actuators is a waste of money unless you know what the cause is.

In my country there is no professional i gone Peugeot Official Service and they told me you need exactly to change actuators, and they gave me the fault code 1755. After i go for special service they tried everything but it did not work. No one could delete the engine fault and service fault on the screen. And no one wants to repair the system because there is not enough information or experience about this complicated transmission. At this point what i should do ? I am very bad because i spent a lot of money for nothing.

There's very little we can do here on a Forum I'm afraid with so little information. There's a part of the fault code missing, but if it was P1755 then that only relates to the vehicle speed regulation (cruise control / speed limiter). I know it doesn't help you now, but in future try and avoid these piloted manual gearboxes and stick to a manual or proper automatic.

If i found somebody which could can repair my car, after i will sell. But there is no solution, the machine explain the fault like "gear actuator fault".
