Lasertec Manuals WARNING

Just in case you haven't read the relevant thread, I bought the manuals over the internet direct from lasertec, there is a problem with the installation and they wont reply to my e-mails. I'm out 119 euros plus some 20 hours of my time installing it and nothing works.
I may just have been unlucky, but whatever they won't respond to me, so be careful if you are thinking of lashing out[xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(]

Sounds about pretty normal. They sell a manual on CD. But they know nowt about PC installation or usage. That's why they keep there mouths shut.
Now -
If you open your Windows pathfinder and look at the filetypes on the CD - what do you have on the CD then ?

Anders, as usual you've gone straight to the heart of the matter, I'll also have a look at the CD files if I can the problem being of course that until the program installation is complete I doubt if i'll be able to get in...... watch this space

Is it an ISO file that needs burning to another cd to work?

Bernie, could be, but as there are minimal isntallation instructions for the three discs involved who knows [:D] [:D] [:D], still at least lasertec have responded now, I done everything they have asked and .......... zero

If you open a command window and change directory to the cd and do a DIR, what do you see?
Can you send a copy of the installation instructions too?
If you like, send me a copy of the CD and I'll take a look [:D]

Ghostrider when you come and pick up the 4x4 exaust bring it with you i am sure i can get it working (in the industry).

Andy 4x4 exhaust???????!!!!!!! we were talking gearboxes [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] Yup I'll bring them with me, mind you I finally lost it today having been on hold to france for 2 hours today I've finally requested a refund. I got the software working in as much as I finally managed to get the installation to complete, and I can get the invoicing, labour rates and everything else to work except the manuals [:D] [:D] [:D]. I'm fairly sure that it is the system that my local franchise uses, so getting those invoice totals right is obviously more important than fixing a car ... right?
