Just for the record these are the mileage readings before the start, at refuelling and at the finish and a note of the highest point we reached!!

Overall an average of 44.5 mpg which is not too bad considering the hills and valleys, not to mention the load carried and the rivers we had to drive through on the way home. We also had the aircon on for most of the time and for a 19 year old 2.5 litre engine I reckon that's not too bad!!

Jim and I have decided to make the most of our annual ticket we now hold for Beamish and take another quick visit in August. I am about to start a new thread for The August Adventure!!

Was on a double decker bus today and thought it was the first since the sixties then remembered those at Beamish.

We are hoping to go up in September just before our ticket runs out! There is a car show there on the 24th I believe, We went a couple of years ago and got soaked. Hope its not repeated this year. The soaking not the show.
