1997 Expert 1.9D Wiring Diagram or Manual

Unread post by Kernowjon »

Greetings from Cornwall Help!!! Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Mk1 Expert 1.9D or even better a manual for one. I cannot source a Haynes Manual. And some offerings on EBay are beyond me to download - simple PDF is fine but some of the things on there are beyond my 75 years!

There isnt a digram for the car. Each system has its own individual diagram. Which diagram are you after?
You can get a copy of Peugeot SEDRE which will be fine for this vehicle. This is an old back up version of what the dealers use. You wont get any better diagrams than these.

Does SEDRE go back to 1997? That is about the time they moved from printed wiring diagram books.

Mk1 expert/Dispatch seems to be there, just checked a random diagram for an RP number of 7500 & it was ok.

The problem is I have "lost" pwer to the Cigarette Lighter circuit. It was working fine - then my fault I overloaded it. Fuse 16 / 16a (internal fuse box) appear to be fine. I checked the fuse with a multi meter, but that is where I have stopped. There is a Link that looks like a fuse that also appears OK. I have not looked at the underbonnet Fuse Box - I do not know the tie up between the two boxes.

Its a pretty basic circuit, is there 12v at the fuse with the ignition on?
It doesent look like the under bonnet fusebox is really involved apart from providing the power to the ignition switch, if this fuse was gone you would have loads more issues.
If there is power at fuse 16 then check for power at the connector directly on the socket. if this is ok then it will likely be the little fusible link in the lighter socket (if it has one).

Hi all apologies for some delay - my other halfs health has been more important. I have now found the wiring diagrams online.
Next problem - how do I get at the back of the cigarette lighter - I see no screws or other fixings - is it simply a matter of delicately applied brute force to "unclick" the plastic panels - or have I missed something?
