Had my 2019 DS7 for about 5 months now, purchased from a dealer as "DS APPROVED USED" with 2 years warranty, Noticed the other week that several pieces of the Alloys wheel trims, the long thin sausage shaped silver pieces, have gone missing, NO damage to the wheels whatsoever. These look as if they are stuck or rivetted onto the wheels. Just had the car serviced and was told that the wheels are not covered by the warranty and the only way to remedy this issue is to buy new wheels at a cost of approx £500 each wheel as the parts that have gone aren't sold seperately.
Has anyone else had this issue? What did you manage to do ??

Re: 20" Tokyo Wheels issue
Edit: So do you mean the silver vertical type inserts on the 'inner' supports? If so, then yes I can't see these supplied separately anywhere.
Seems a daft option to me to have anything like a separate trim part on the wheel - it's bound to come off sooner or later unless somebody took a fancy to them - given the lack of availability!
All the other wheels in the range don't have the inserts and are just black, so if it bothers you, I'd think about taking the others off and leaving it like that.

Yeah those are the parts, somehow managed to lose 2 from 1 wheel and one off another.
It leaves 2 holes through the wheel for each missing part, so I'm not sure about removing the rest of them

It's probably ok as the wheels should still be weather proofed where the inserts fit in.

Re: 20" Tokyo Wheels issue
What a stupid design.
If you really fancy a fight then you could try claiming that there was a design flaw. They might give in if you get a small claims court summons. It seems pretty obvious that clip-on bits on an alloy wheel are definitely not going to last.
I'd be more worried about damage to the surrounding bodywork at the moment they do spin off, damage to others and littering the countryside.

If they've actually come off whilst driving - which would be very difficult to prove - then they should be subject to a DVSA recall notice. However, Stellantis will argue black is blue, left is right, and up is down in an attempt to convince you that they haven't come off whilst driving and that they must have fallen off whilst parked or someone has taken them.

Re: 20" Tokyo Wheels issue
I think these are only small light plastic inserts, so unlikely to do any real damage, but a completely stupid design that I can't imagine any engineer sanctioning for fitting on anything with centrifugal force being applied like wheels! Looks like the designers won the argument in this case!

Take them all off on one side of the car. That way it wont be noticeable as you cant see both sides at the same time! This logic applies to all wheel trim issues.
