Xsara picasso a/c

Unread post by seanhardy13 »

I have just bought a 2005 xsara picasso, the a/c was not working so I had it regassed, it worked ok when I left the garage, however it stopped the next day, firstly, any ideas why this would happen and secondly does anyone know where the fuse for the a/c would be? T.i.a.

You most likely have a leak in the system - either from the pipes, the condenser or other component.

What you should do is either get a mobile A/C to visit or take it to an A/C specialist, who will do a leak / pressure test on the system and help you identify where it's coming from. Then you can make a decision on a fix or not.

If the people who re-gassed the a/c had done their job properly they will have added a UV dye to the system, so that (using a UV lamp and goggles) it would be possible to see where the dye ha sprayed, highlighting the leak.
