In the 18m I've had this C5 there has always been a "front left tyre not monitored " warning each time I drive (after a mile or so)
Yesterday I swapped the wheels front to rear to even out the tyre wear and today I travelled 30 miles without the warning.
In fact pressing the check button showed that all 4 monitors are working.
How can this be?

Re: C5x7 mystery self repairing tyre pressure monitor
Hi Graeme, it maybe due to the battery in the front left sensor that is towards end of life - they only last about 10 years, so you're well into the time where the TPMS sensors need replacing. Having moved the sensor towards the rear, where the receiver is located (under the spare tyre well), it may be picking up the weaker signal being nearer the receiver.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Ahh that's a thought - closer to the receiver. Good point
