Never seen one quite like this before, looks in fantastic condition, just shame its so far away or I'd give 700 euro for it

Maybe its ex some French local authority, or company who had it or several custom built to order.
In the mid to late 1980's Redbridge council had a fleet of custom built Austin Maestro pick-ups-it was never an officially available version, but they had loads of them. I doubt a single one exists now.
