juddering while driving DS3 2014 1.6hdi 90bhp

Unread post by 281192ben »

Hi all , Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before , ds3 2014 1.6hdi . While driving i am getting a juddering from the front of the car , its like ive fitted really aggessive off road tyres . ive had this before with another ds3 ive owned and i couldnt get that fixed . i dont want to give up on this one but i am scratching my head . Up to now ive changed the drivers side drive shaft , wheel bearing and had 4 wheel laser tracking done , still no joy . I am going to change the n/s drive shaft to eliminate that too . The juddering is only present once moving , either in gear or neutral so i am assuming it has to be on the drive train somewhere . I am going to swap the front wheels with the rear just to see if the juddering goes towards the rear of the car .
Has anyone had a similar issue with there car before , and could maybe point me in the right direction .

What about your discs? Are they warped? Very hot discs going through deep water can cause rapid cooling and warping, resulting in juddering, which can become more pronounced when applying the brakes at different levels. Of course changing the wheels won't make any difference if it's this.

Thanks for the suggestion , but the discs are fine . I've swapped wheels and it's no different I've got near side drive shaft coming and also wheel bearing , after that I am struggling .

If you're sure - swapping the wheels won't make any difference if it's the discs as I mentioned. What about the tie rod ends - check those too.
