Afternoon all,
I’m guessing this is a mot failure and will need replacing. Do I have to do the whole unit?

Yes, but shouldn't be too difficult as the 'Seat Belt Stalk' as it's called are a complete unit and only about £100 each from Peugeot.
The pyrotechnic elements (which you would need to be careful of removing) are on the other side and part of the inertial reel system (the part behind the pillars).
You may need to remove the seat or at least some of the trim to get at it though:
Disconnect the connector (at "q").
Unclip the connector (at "r") using trim removal tools.
Remove:

- The (15) bolt
- The seat belt stalk (14)

Those are not the correct parts listed for the 3008 Tom. If you need official part numbers for the 3008, update your subs and post the VIN. The parts differ on model and build date.
