Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Saw this dove early this morning during my run to parkrun
She (I presume) was so tame I was able to get up quite close to get this picture
Seemed very appropriate somehow... A harbinger of peace and tranquillity for the very special occasion that would take place later in the morning...
I've not worded that very well but I think the gist of what I'm trying to say is there...

A day late perhaps...
Out on my bike yesterday I encountered a closed road and almost gatecrashed a street party!
Everybody was happy and enjoying a great time. Pleased they had good weather for it

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Pretty easy to come up with an image of a Wren
But how easy would it be to come up with a G-day Great Spotted Woodpecker combined with some interesting shadows.
Pretty easy as it turned out....

A wood full of bluebells. Never seen so many. Couldn't find a way in though, lots of barbarous wire.
A nice puddle. There were ducks on it but the skedaddled before I was close enough for a picture. Should have taken the SLR.
Wabbits too, also too fast for me. Field full of sheep too but rather distant.
There were goats too but only saw where they were as we were driving away.

Doing my finest Trigger impression at the Milton Keynes Bowl yesterday evening...
Sweeping the track in preparation for the evening's bike racing - some hedges had been trimmed earlier and there was some thorny debris on the track - nasty stuff that could have resulted in punctures for the competitors...
There followed a good evening of racing with no incidents for a change, and no punctures...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
One of our cats brought this in this afternoon. Thought it was dead, but apparently they play dead and sure enough it put it in the field and it dissapeared.
