C4 Picasso Accelerator pedal

Unread post by mickthemaverick »

Does anyone know the actual resistance values for the pedal potentiometer and maybe the wiring diagram for rhe whole throttle control circuit? :)

Never checked on the C4pic but on the early C3’s & many other C series Citroens the pedals are actually Hall effect so you can’t really resistance check them, really needs checked with a scope. I would imagine the C4P is the same.

Thanks wheeler, I have had a look at it today and sadly I cannot get any comms with any ECU to my diagbox/lexia so I can't carry out any operational tests. The pedal itself feels very smooth throughout its travel and looks very clean. The connectors are good so I will be checking the throttle body end of the system on my next visit. When idling and operating the pedal very smoothly by hand the engine seems to respond exactly correctly so I am beginning to think the "dodgy throttle" as reported to me may turn out to be a clutch/gearbox issue!! I ran out of time today due to my desire to be home for the Test Match and F1 practice!! :-D

My friend drove the car in manual mode using the paddles and the gear changes were slick and smooth. The car was very responsive in all gears suggesting the slow pick up is not a gearbox or clutch problem. Having eliminated the throttle as well I am wondering if there is a sticky actuator/solenoid which operates the clutch when in auto mode. Any ideas anyone? :)

Sorry to say I can't remember!! #-o However I have a feeling that the issue resolved itself after I had given up looking for it!! Sorry about that. :(
