Hiya,
I plan to replace my rear disc and pads on my 2016 DS3 diesel. Do I need any special equipment in order to replace as it has the hill start assist function?

The DS3 will likely have a manual handbrake. The Hill start assist is part of the ESP system - which means the ECU just applies the normal brakes for a few seconds on a hill. There are no electronics involved on the callipers.
Bear in mind though that the rear discs also contain the rear wheel hub bearings and the ABS ring, so care is needed to ensure these are not dropped or placed near any strong magnetic forces or metallic objects during fitting and that the correct torques are used. You must replace the hub nut and plug each time with a new one - they cannot be re-used as they deform when secured.
As for equipment, of course you'll need brake piston wind-back tools.
