Peugeot Partner e-hdi Semi Automatic gearbox

Unread post by George101 »

Hello,

I have a 2012 Peugeot Partner e-hdi with a Semi Automatic gearbox, I'm looking for maintenance manuals and tips to look after these gearboxes.

Also could anyone confirm which transmission fluid these take and what are the intervals to change it?

Does the EGC need any maintenance or actuator fluids changed?

Thanks,
George

1) These are standard manual Gearboxes and clutches. Don't get these mixed up with actual Automatics with torque converters. The only thing automated on them is the hydraulic actuators that do the gearbox changes and clutching / declutching operations. So as far as the gearbox oil is concerned it should be treated the same as a manual - no need for frequent changes if at all.

2) The only different oil used is for the hydraulic actuators and this must be checked and topped up (only where necessary) with the system depressurised and you will need Diagbox for this with a VCI (often referred to as a Lexia Kit). I wouldn't touch it unless there is a need.

3) As for the Hydraulic actuator oil, I'll need your VIN to confirm this (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff).

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your response and the info, do you know where I can find a workshop manual for this type of e-hdi or guide on how to change the gearbox oil?

Any recommendations on the gearbox oil change intervals?

Thanks,
George

TOTAL TRANSMISSION BV SAE 75W80 fir the gearbox oil.

Any recommended changes will be listed in your maintenance / service booklet under the servicing, but they'll generally advise these are 'sealed for life'.

Really appreciate your help Marc, it looks like TOTAL TRANSMISSION BV SAE 75W80 gearbox oil is not widely sold in the UK. Halfords sell 3 types of 75W80 gearbox oil, would you recommend any
of these?

My Peugeot Partner Tepee 2012 E-hdi has done almost 38500 miles, I read that the intervals are between 30,000 Miles and 50,000 Miles so I'm keen to change it. Unfortuantely my service booklet gives zero information of anything other than the motor oil.

Any idea on a workshop manual or videos for the E-HDI 1.6 EGS engine type? ( I have tried looking but can't find any, even the Haynes book doesn't have the semi auto in it)

Thanks in advance

Completely ignore the semi-auto element. You shouldn't need to even go there. Treat the vehicle as normal for routine maintenance. There are certain operations that need doing when the clutch is changed for example - but unless you have a compatible professional level diagnostic kit and laptop, I'd leave that for a dealer or other pro to do as it involves setting the bite point and gear grid settings (depending on what has been replaced).

Haynes do one here for your vehicle:
