DS3 crosscack etense problems with brakes and radar

Hello. I am new here. I bought a used etense from 2020. after a month of driving, the electric brake got stuck and the console showed a problem with the brakes and a crash detection failure. All fuses ok. Where to look? After unlocking the brakes, the car drives normally, but errors are displayed.

There are 2 different types of systems fitted for the collision detection feature. Your vehicle will use either a front radar and camera system or the camera only (depending on options). The system has detected a fault in either the camera or the ARTIV radar module. When this happens it will disable the system until it is checked out.

I know that the front radar system is very sensitive and must be finely calibrated, so any knock to the front bumper or vibration (for example going over a bad pothole in the road) may cause a slight misalignment. Or the camera may have a malfunction.

Hopefully you may have some warranty on the vehicle, as the only way to sort this out is to get it to DS and let them run a diagnostic on it to determine the cause - whether it is electrical or needs calibration.

Thank you for your answer. the car's electric brakes don't work now. after that the car runs. the brake motors work but the automatic electric brake does not work. are the radar and brakes related?. Nr fault B120A 86

As yours is an electric vehicle I can't say for sure how the systems are integrated, but that fault code is as I mentioned for the Video camera (but also may involve the ARTIV radar if fitted):

Fault Code:	B120A 86
Description of Fault:	Collision risk alert function fault: Invalid signal. The information concerning the status of the means of detection for the collision risk alert function is not valid.
Conditions for Fault to clear:	The information concerning the status of the means of detection for the collision risk alert function is valid.
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:	Deactivation of the emergency collision risk alert function
Symptoms:	No emergency collision alert function warning or unwanted warning The emergency collision alert function cannot be selected/deselected Unwanted selection/deselection of the emergency collision alert function
Suspect Areas:	Configuration of the BSI Multifunction video camera configuration Multifunction video camera

one more question: what controls the electric brakes? they don't work now.

I'm assuming you have motorised calipers. The system would be controlled by the ESP / ABS ECU.
