Undoubtedly my Picture of the Day. One of the most gorgeous sites in nature, a Hedge Sparrow's nest with its beautiful blue eggs.

Thanks Jim. Takes me back to boyhood when my Grandpa showed me a Hedgesparrow nest in a low boxwood hedge. The dark green of the foliage, and the brilliant blue of the eggs made a lasting impression and its a memory I carry with me.

My picture of the day is of this charming village green sporting both a finger signpost and a village name sign: :-D

Now that I am home with the laptop I can see I actually posted the bad view of the green above. I think this one gives a better image and you can read the village sign! :-D

I just popped out to the kitchen for a bedtime snack and spotted our window sill looking glorious. So who can name the plant on the right which is now flowering profusely? :-D

That looks like a form of Oxalis - in different circumstances I'd be going at it with a weedkiller, but as it's the cultivated form it can stay for now :-D
