c3 picasso tire wear on the inner side

Unread post by piki »

Hi
i have a 2012 diesel 1.6 hdi c3 picasso.
have since it was brand new , no accidents .
the steering wheel is pulling to the right, and in both front wheels, i have a wear in the inner side.
i did replaced the strut, (to KYB), And the suspension arm.
i understud that the camber cant be adjusted in that car? what are my options?
why did it happen ?

Camber changes with ride height as the wishbone moves around it's pivot point it puts the wheel in an arc, I'd wager that the replaced single strut has a different spring rate in it, either through a different spec, or more likely new strut = new spring = fresh = not having lost tension through age. The other thought is that if this is the wheel that you replaced the strut and suspension arm on, it's either different parts, or not fitted correctly.

I once ripped the tread off an almost new tyre on one of our previous cars in only a couple of thousand kilometers by fitting a wishbone for a different model year to the car. I didn't know there was a change in geometry from earlier to newer models of the same body shape, fitting the new part knocked the alignment to hell in a wheel barrow, and cost a tyre, plus a wishbone; I wonder if you've done something similar here? Could you have fitted parts for a C£ not necessarily a Picasso submodel? Or for a different model year?

Have you had the wheel alignment done by someone who knows what they're doing? Mine did this, it was just alignment. It does still wear on the inner edges, but that's just pretty normal for most of the FWD cars I've had..
