Re: Favourite colours for cars
Nice Neil, mine was a plain blue colour, lovely car still the favourite of all the cars I've owned, mine was dying of the rust bug in the end although it was sold on as a runner probably recycled now.

Brown, as long as it has a hand-painted coachline in gold, and its on the type of car that suits it

Re: Favourite colours for cars
An exceptionally well presented car for its year and model. If I had a decent garage to keep it in I would be very tempted with that!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Favourite colours for cars
Lovely car and I'd be tempted to buy it but with the autobox I'd want a test drive before committing, they had a tendency to lose the reverse gear due to a failure of the seals in one of the clutches, not a big problem to fix but a hell of a job to get at.mickthemaverick wrote: 06 Dec 2022, 14:41 An exceptionally well presented car for its year and model. Yes, much better than my silver one! My favourite C1/107/Aygo colour was the mid metallic blue...

Re: Favourite colours for cars
To mark the selection of this thread today at random as part of the FCF Archives February Ferret, from Artcurial's Retromobile Auction in Paris 3rd and 4th February, an old favourite of the thread a Rover 3500 V8 in Avocado. I do believe the interior is the wonderfully complementary "Mango".
Plenty pics here of which this is one

Re: Favourite colours for cars
The Morgan Plus 6 was certainly the most interesting vehicle to get the shutter click today and its pale hardly blue blue was a nice subtle colour.

The most striking colour was this

Prefer the yellow
It shouts... Unlike the Morgan... It just whispers

Re: Favourite colours for cars
While the hardly blue blue of the Morgan Plus Six is a subtle whisper, and the Suzuki more of a look at me shout as described by Jim this offering is a definite blue blue nicely set of with a shiny black roof, and a bit of a cheerful hello its me, happy in the sunshine.

Re: Favourite colours for cars
I like that blue and the black roof sets it off very nicely
Shame it's on a fake Mini
It is indeed a happy and cheerful colour...
Yesterday, whilst out on the bike in the sunshine I was particularly struck by how so many cars these days are painted in such drab and sad colours... Hateful and I'm sure it depresses their owners and ruins their mental health, even if they don't realise it.
All cars should be in bright and happy colours, inside and out - it should be the law.
