308SW 2.0 HDI Engine Issues

Unread post by george111772 »

Hi all,

I come from Taiwan
Found this forum while looking for a solution to my problem
There are very professional and friendly partners here

My car's VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

I have experienced error codes P12A5, P11AA, P0409, P0488, and P0490.
I have replaced the second cylinder fuel injector and cleared the error codes.
P12A5 continues to appear, but the other error codes have not reappeared.

The car's symptoms are as follows: when starting in the morning, it shakes and kick out a lot of white smoke.
After driving for a while, the shaking and white smoke improve.
If a car has been driven in the morning and it is started in the afternoon,
it will not emit a large amount of white smoke as in the morning

The shaking and smoke emission only occur on the first start after the car has been parked overnight
(whether it's in the morning or at noon).

Local garage has advised that the engine needs to be replaced

What should I do?

For a start, please use the correct VIN, as the one supplied it is not valid.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.
