Citroen spacetourer Battery charge fault stop the vehicle alert message

Hi, can anyone help I'm getting a Battery charge fault stop the vehicle alert message on my 2017 citroen spacetourer.
I've replaced the battery with a new one but I'm still getting the alert message and spanner symbol on dash.
Any advice would be great.

Has the charging system been checked? Is there any output from the alternator?

Hi, thanks for reply I haven't checked the alternator yet so that a be next on my list. However the issue seems to be intermittent. Firstly the fault cleared when changing the battery (old one was 5 years old and voltage was low) Then after replacing the battery the fault code disappeared but returned the very next day after the second time started the vechile. I've now done a BSI reset as of yesterday which has cleared it once again so I'm hoping there might of been so some of history of the fault on the system and the reset has sorted this out.
I've started the vechile twice this morning and theres no issues thankfully. Also I've tried my plug n play error code reader at time of fault code but it wasn't picking up any error codes even when the alert message was on dash but its not a dealership grade reader.

The alert message has resurfaced after taking the vechile for a spin.
I've checked the alternator and that is fine.
Any other suggestions more than welcome!

Fault code B1624 was present on the diagnostic test

Did you find out what it was? I have the same problem and wondered if I can still drive it?

That fault relates to the Supplies protection and management unit. There should be an additional 2 digits on the end of the code, but depending on what those are it can relate to a Central power switch positive relay status fault: Relay either opened (72) or closed (73), depending on which fault.

Hello All,
Just updating post.
Finally found an auto electrician who determined fault with BCM/BSI unit as vechile is drawing to much current when in off state plus all fuses where removed. Also had issues of late with doors not always looking and fuel gauge level reading wrong.
Anyway a new BCM ordered but 6 months later still hasn't arrive been told that part is on back order as shortage of semiconductors. Currently have to keep disconnecting the battery when not it use to reserve the battery. Checked for recalls but there doesn't seem to be any at the moment even though its a common issue with the spacetourer/Dispatch, Traveller vechiles. Any update from yourselves would be great.

Hi, Yes my vehicle had a new Protection/Management Unit fitted by Citroen which resolved the issue.
This unit sits under the hood next to the main fusebox.

Thank you, that's very useful info. I have the same issue with battery alert, fast battery drain when idle and incorrect fuel sensor. And i also disconnect the main power when leaving vehicle for more than 2 days)
