Mick, if you were banking on provoking a giggle then here at least, you succeeded!
As we're on the subject of trees, this from yesterday during my run around Bury Field doing the parkrun course check...
I'm curious as to what species of bird the triangular nest box is intended for? A big one I guess. Owls maybe?

Here's my effort for this special day.NewcastleFalcon wrote: 19 Feb 2023, 10:07 The thread needs no introduction but it does deserve some original pictures today.
WhyApart from the ever present retaining the credibility to justify it's thread title, today it has been selected by the random hand of the FCF Archives February Ferret 2023.

A moody one of Tyringham church captured on my bike cam this morning... The camera was a bit confused by the full and very bright sun and made an interesting picture as a result I think
I was riding with my shadow earlier!
Shows what a gorgeous day it is down this way
And warm too... I was wearing just a trisuit and mitts... Along with helmet, shoes and socks

So warm (mild) this morning I could run without beanie, gloves and sleeves
And wearing shorts too
There's a deliberate error in this picture
Those who know me will have no problem in spotting it

I'm vaguely aware of other acronyms of VEGAN but that's the best/most usable in polite society - which of course we all are on the FCF
I was thinking you might have had a bit of Photoshop fun knowing what I tend to eat when dining out
I even had a set of comebacks ready to launch

That's a cracker Mick

I've not stopped giggling yet!
It deserves a drum(stick)roll

Whyever not? It's huge fun!
A lot of vegans, including a couple of my good friends, would have me blackballed for even daring to wear that top knowing I'm only about 98% vegan and known to indulge in the occasional bit of cured pig and sea fruit as a special treat

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
There's quite a Citroen connection to the Instagram photo above... Last year's Twin Lakes 20 took place on the same day as the CCC Chevrons Rally...
As soon as I'd completed the run I jumped in Daffodil and went over to little Horwood to attend the rally still in my running kit...
There we enjoyed a meeting/reunion of the current and two former Citroenian Xantia Files column editors and this photo was snapped of we three...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Digging through some old prints looking for something that I will probably never find, came across a few interesting and forgotten ones.
This is, or was at Marsden, near South Shields. It collapsed about a decade ago.
We used to spend lots of time there but not for years now that the kids are all grown.
Our three eldest in the foreground.
