They weren't far out with that Jim. I remember seeing in a radio magazine mobile a radio for on beat police, it was
supported on scaffolding about 18" on the head high with the helmet on top. The caption said "we are working on a new model that fits under the helmet". This was before transistors of course.

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
