Custom Top Hose

Unread post by rossnunn »

THe rad in my ZX was nackered so I've used the one out of the 1.9D scrapper.
I need a new top hose made, as I can't find anything that is right. I have a few that are close but most crease.
Any ideas??

easiest method is to do it with Samco hoses or similar and all the proper joins, probelm is that it will cost a right fortune. Have a hunt around and there will be companies making custom hoses but usually for strange things like tractors and diggers and things!

ok will do the shape is quite easy, the output at the top of the rad is at 45 degrees & then in turns left into the side of the engine/thermostat housing

Our local Motor Factor has a big box of assorted hoses that they use as a form of lucky dip for odd ones. I also understand Gates do a range of generic hoses with bends in them that are intended to be trimmed to fit. I used one of these to replace the funny little "L" shaped hose on the 205 that runs from the thermostat housing to the SAD.
