DS3 Crossback Front Window Washers

Unread post by delands »

Hello all..

Just registered today after having my first issue with DS3 Crossback-

Front window washers - they may be blocked at the nozzle as working ok before freeze. Its had plenty of positive temps now to thaw and rear washer is working... so how do i get access to check at the bottle for blockage or hopefully easier get access to check the three(?) outlets at bonnet edge? Hoping its just a bit of dirt on them - seems unlikely that all of them would be blocked at outlet.

I may have to from start to finish. Can hear motor and bottle is full.

TIA
David

Try and unblock the jets with a pin - this can rotate the 'ball' so make sure you correct position again when you eventually get it working.

I'm assuming the pump is working as you have rear washers operating, so it will be a matter of unclipping the pipes from the bonnet washer jets and then seeing if any fluid comes out of the tubes. If so, then your washer jets are blocked up with debris. Just replace them in that case.

Thanks for reply.

I assume removing the cover under the bonnet to get access is easy enough?
Looks like about a dozen or so plastic round clips from what I remember. Will check tomorrow as have all day to investigate.

Just watch the clips and keep these as you don't want that cover working loose and getting mangled..

The washer jets should just clip into the bonnet and the tubes onto the jets.
