Peugeot expert 2009 fuel pump relay location

Unread post by Housedaz »

Hello people i need a little help. I have a expert 2009 2.0 hdi . Engine cut out on the motorway at 70mph. I have put it on obd and says egr vale & cam sharft senor has an issues.
I've cleaned the egr and replaced the cam sensor and still not starting. It turns over but won't fire up.
I've noticed the fuel pump or relay don't make any noise when I turn the key. ( also no fuel going from pump to engine) So I'm wondering if the relay has got stuck.
I've tryed to find the relay have looked everywhere but just can't find the dam thing.
Does anyone know were I can find the fuel pump relay please. I'm really struggling 😩

I imagine it's part of the underbonnet fuse box, but are you sure there is a separate fuel pump? Most at this age didn't... Is this the 16V engine with the pump driven off the camshaft? Are you sure the cambelt and camshaft are intact??

You may have a few failed rocker arms as a consequence. The rocker arms came in with the HDi engines, and are designed to be sacrificial in the case of a cam belt failure. Before the rocker arms were introduced a belt failure could cause major damage to the engine.

So 2 things here:
1. the fuel pump relay and abs relay I think are in the same 15pin box. Its attached to the engine bay fusebox - looks like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255888372691 ... Sw~P1jog47 - not saying this is the right part for you though. It is entirely possible that one part of the relay is working but the other isnt - I had that on a 308 2010 1.6hdi.
2. 2.0 Hdi engine Cambelt - rocker arms fix. I fixed a 307 2.0 hdi 90 that had that happen - from what others have mentioned, the design is stil one that sacrifices rockers instead of valves/pistons (aka a very good design) - You will need the timing pins (about a fiver off ebay) as if its a normal cam belt change but in your case you will likely need to take the rocker cover off, then the overhead camshaft needs to come out to replace the rocker/s that may be broken. The rockers have small pin bearings in them and you want to get as many out as possible (aka magnet fishing)

Just make sure you get all the timing pins in and then you only need to worry about putting the camshaft back in the right position. On my 307, AA said it was a write off, but i took it home anyway, fixed it and its my Sons every day runner 6/7 years later, solid as a rock.
