Bought! Definitely good for stock - these days it's the most likely bit of any car to suffer a bit of accidental damage...
And doing a fine job Alasdair

Here you go Jim. Not your discipline but I am sure you can empathise with the Marshals and the Riders.

For those of you who want a quick flavour of the event, click on these from the last event in 2019

I like the bits that say "we may make alterations due to weather or conditions" and "riders under 14 must be accompanied by an adult"

Apologies for hijacking your Thread Jim but more people will read your Threads than mine and Cardiac Issues with Young People is cruelly more common than you would think. Thanks in advance everyone.

Have you just agreed to organise a 24hr Team Trial? Sign me up for the Marshalling. Pint Pot could do with a good outing.

This article is an old one from the Sunday Post but it shows what can grow from small seeds.

You're giving me ideas now Dormouse! I shall discuss that with colleagues as it would be huge fun... I've done a few 24-hour running events but never a cycling one... There's always a first timeDormouse wrote: 18 Jan 2023, 15:35 Have you just agreed to organise a 24hr Team Trial? Sign me up for the Marshalling. Pint Pot could do with a good outing.
In addition to the Sunday Post article I've been reading a few other reports of riding the Strathpuffer... Brutal is a word that come to mind!
You and I know why it's a sell-out every year. The sense of achievement and elation that comes from just taking part is intoxicating and addictive like nothing else...
On a similar theme, I was alerted to this event by a few friends who know I like something a bit different and verging on the bonkers...

Appealing to me as it takes place in the same tunnels I'll be running a half marathon through in June... In daylight - mostly!
Meanwhile, I've achieved a bit of Facebook fame today

Is the No-42 sheet there as a "modesty flap" to hide what the Lycra normally shows ?

You never know - what lies beyond that Number 42 might hold the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything.
