3008 (2013) Asking for CD to be inserted

3008 (2013) Asking for CD to be inserted

Hello i need help with wifes 3008
It is constantly asking for a CD to be inserted and will not respond to basic radio/sat nav functions unless
you acknowledge it and ok out out of menu.

VIN:VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

UNIT REF: 9806708477
CD NUMBER: 8639
SW VER: RNEG2.75.C.5

Do i need to buy this CD '8639' ?

Should not be this complicated its a standard thing surely
Very annoying. I assume i need a update disk but online is just a minefield of info.

Need help as car is mint and not planning on changing soon.

Hi. The SW version of 2.75 tells us that you have the RT6 system fitted. Have a quick read of this thread as it's basically the same problem.
