Citroen C4 Picasso (2012) - anything to be aware of when changing the battery?

Unread post by yourguitarhero »

Hello, looking at putting a new battery in my C4 Picasso.
It's a 1.6 eHdi with an automatic gearbox on a 62 plate.

While I've looked at the physical procedure for taking the battery out (rather complicated!), I remember reading somewhere that certain models of these cars could have issues with requiring the computers to recognise the new battery. Linked to a profile built up for the start/stop procedure? Unfortunately I can't find the link any more.

I have seen this though: https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... 51&t=61997 which looks helpful!

Also, in other news, all the battery websites don't recognise the car registration properly and give a couple of options of non start/stop batteries.
Am I right in thinking I need an 096 format battery for this engine?

Thanks!

Your main car battery for this vehicle must be an AGM type and meet the following specifications:
70AH-760A-AGM

Thank you

This seems to meet the spec: https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/e ... e/096-agm/

Yes, or take a look at the Halfords range and I only suggest these as they are likely made by YUASA which are a very good brand. They have a 5 year guarantee too.
