Philips Ambilight I think.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Re: Oil leaking from Pressure Switch stub
Today's weather
So, lying on as much cushioning as I could find
I removed all the grime and scraped and picked at the stub until
The eagle eyed should notice two things:-
there is a crack
AND
I had to pick out what appears to be Araldite in the notch around the crack
Then rain stopped play - again.

Second day soup or home made Pizza?
Maybe both then

Re: Oil leaking from Pressure Switch stub
I do have this though
However, today has made my mind up. The garage is doing it. I am aching even now never mind later or tomorrow.
By the way. The reason I said you would get pics today and not yesterday, when the weather was better, is that LOML is away to Dundee to have Xmas lunch with some friends today. I dropped her off to get the train and she will phone me when she gets on the train to come home.
If she knew I had this planned she would have murdered me but only after making my life miserable for as long as she could. Trust me, that could be a very long time!
So, Mum's the word. While the Cat's away the Dormice will play.

Yes!
Someone at some time went to a fair bit of effort to make that look neat and round and hacked a groove out to get the Araldite in. The B###### probably took longer to do that than undo 3 easy bolts and two easy water pipes to replace it!
One extra plus about being underneath today is that I have also confirmed a leak from the power steering hose.
Happy Days.

Re: Oil leaking from Pressure Switch stub
So often it takes longer to bodge something that do the job properly... Some people never learn this basic rule...
I'll only ever bodge ('fake up' as I've always known it as - a term handed down from my dad) if it's extremely critical to get something rapidly functional whilst awaiting the correct spare part to do it properly...
I trust the PAS leak is not going to be a big issue - fingers crossed...

Re: Oil leaking from Pressure Switch stub
No the PS leak is a damaged clip on an old hose on the LP delivery side.

Re: Oil leaking from Pressure Switch stub
In between rain showers I have been attacking the tower. However, I did get the oil switch buttoned up enough to drive it to the garage.
The red stuff is a semi setting Hylomar - so I will leave it a few days to set before I start the engine. It only needs to last 10/15 mins to get to the garage.

The YouTube clip I saw lied!
The cone is glued but it is Hot Glue so I softened it and lifted the cone with my gardening knife.
Next lie. The nuts do undo easily but the next section is also glued. More heat!

My escapades underneath Pint Pot yesterday have left me rather sore and tender. LOML thinks I have overdone the Chrissy Deccys bit. I am not going to disagree with her.

Re: Oil leaking from Pressure Switch stub
You have been very busy recently so you now need to take that full rest day you have richly earned Dormouse
Rest days are essential every now and again... They really do work.
I'm doing much the same today, I just ran a slow 5K before dawn and now baking a large batch of mince pies...
