A classic track from the 60s took me the first chord to name but nothing else to go with it! :-D

Two seconds for the sixties, nothing at all for the rest. Nineties unavailable.

A woeful day I'm afraid.
The Original was a fail followed by a "glitch" for the old 00s which didn't play. Then came 4 more fails from new 00s to 70s without the slightest recognition. My morning culminated with the 60s, I knew the artist after 3 secs but couldn't get the lyrics and hence the title at all so completing a total failure across the board!! 8-[

Same experience as you Mick, only sixties recognised but unable to fit a song title to it.

Inspired by Micra Starter Motor Nose Cones! over on Bargain Basement Motoring

Pickled Egg traditional quiz question of the day
Watch this video then answer the question in the spoiler

Spoiler: show
Why was Concorde's nose cone designed to "droop"
I don't actually know so posting up your answers will save me looking it up!

TOH - I believe it is a drooper in order to minimise drag during supersonic flight when up but also can be lowered to give the pilot a view of the surrounds when at low speed and on the ground ie taxiing, take-off and landing :-D
I have also just recalled that the screen on the droop nose is for defence against UV and heat during supersonic flight, the whole cone providing protection for the main screen in the fuselage! - I'm going to go and look it up now and see how wrong I am!! :-D

The result of my research:
Spoiler: show
Well It looks like I remembered most of it correctly. I didn't realise there were 4 possible positions and that the visor could be lowered independantly of the nose but I had the right idea! :-D : https://theuijunkie.com/concorde-droop-nose/

I only knew that because the song, that is Andy Williams version, was key in meeting my ex wife. and ironically this version was released just as our divorce came through!! :-D

I recognised the 90s and the 70s but couldn't name either of them. The 60's was instant recognition of the song at 2secs but took a while to remember the artist, so I played on a bit to help me and got it at 8secs..
The rest the expected wipeout!! :-D
