Unfortunately Dave, Mercedes Man in his EQA may be in luck he's heading for blue skies right now, but still nicely menacing looking at the same time!

He has had to endure torrential rain here before he left. To add insult to injury, grey/blue skies are appearing outside as I type.

Hard to see but just looked out of our back windows and there are clouds of 'steam' rising from the fences and bushes.
I poured down then the sun came out, very bright, and is evaporating the water from dark surfaces.

That taken through the window with mucky glass from the rain and lots of nice reflections.

Oddly enough it is less visible when I took this from outside.

Also it is intermittent and lasts only seconds as there is a breeze, only visible when the breeze stops and the air is still.

Will that do, Neil?

Steve, your shutterclicking has already entertained at least 2 members of the FCF to the point of the onerous task of clicking a "like". Bearing in mind one like from the very tough, discerning and knowledgeable FCF audience, is worth a 1,000 on other platforms, and that the FCF is available to an audience of viewers across the globe, even Aus and NZ and parts of Northumberland, I think your efforts in shutterclicking this morning have indeed been worthwhile, and you deserve to put your feet up for the rest of the day.

But, are there any other FCF members who will follow your good example. Lets not be too ambitious.

Let's set a target of another half a dozen different shutter clickers by the end of the day. How difficult is it :?:

By the time the F1 is finished and I have watched our girls in the WSL it will be dark and cold so my contribution is a record of the thing that excited SWMBO so much this week!! She found a source of jumbo balls of wool and they are big, the scissors are 10"!! :-D

I was intending to visit the local stream and take photo's as it is likely a raging torrent now.
Rain and laziness have hindered that but I might go and get my car, who knows what might transpire from that.

Wow, 3 hours of daylight left, and yes over 10 hours of indoor photography left and we already have shutterclicker number 2 stepping up to the plate.

Well done Mick :-D

Shutter clicker number 3 required, any volunteers for the job :-D

Job taken. The Falcon has claimed Shutter Clicker number 3.

4 photos taken today before the camera battery expired, trees, leaves, and sky being the subject matter of the first 3, but surprisingly this turned out to be the "best" of the bunch literally just before the camera gave up.

Looking out across one of the Milton Keynes Balancing Lakes this morning in truly gorgeous weather...

We have several big ones and a few smaller ones - all part of the City-Wide flood defences... All surface water ends up in these lakes rather than the main foul sewers... We effectively have two sewer systems - one for foul and one for surface runoff.. It works... The lakes then flow via large variable sluices into local rivers and water courses - effectively balancing the level in both and avoiding flooding...

This is Caldecotte Lake and not so far from Bletchley Park... All these lakes are artificial but you'd never know it just by looking...

The reason I was there is in my blog... It was a special occasion for me :D

I was at the McArthur Glen Retail Outlet in Swindon this morning when I saw this. At first it looks vintage, but the reg says otherwise.

It certainly looks the part James... Based on a Nissan Micra perhaps? Most of these modern creations seem to be!

Might be kit built wedding cars based on a FX4 chassis by the looks of the pics.

Yep. Looked it up on google and they are by the Cowley Motor Co [?] based on fx4's as I thought. There was another wedding type car based on a Sherpa Pickup chassis at one time but I can't remember where or when. That may have been a charabang type bus possibly.

Done a bit more digging and the Cowley Motor Co seems to have worked out of Chester!!! No where near Cowley.
