Since my antipollution warnings kept popping occasionally due to intermittent EGR valve DTCs I decided to fit a brand new one. So got a few questions:
1. Is there any programming or anything needed afterwards? Or calibration?
2. Should you do the BSI reset procedure?
Car is in the profile, but for easier reading it's a C5 X7, 2.0 HDI 103kw.
Just installed new EGR, few questions

Re: Just installed new EGR, few questions
Hi
You should always disconnect the battery terminals when working in the engine bay, so avoid potential shorts, so follow the relevant parts before and after in the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure.
As for the EGR valve replacement there is no mention of any calibration or other procedure. The EGR performs a self-clean regularly in any case during normal use.

Hey Marc, I will do the BSI reset procedure tomorrow. Thank you.
