Hi all first post here
I have a 2012 1.6 hdi tourer with a dropped clutch and have changed the slave cylinder and I am waiting on a master cylinder so tried to bleed the slave to see if it was the problem found fluid under the rubber and it litterally fell apart when I removed it from its Mount the cylinder and ram are now two seperate pieces!
thought I was sorted and proceed to bleed the new one in no go, Cant get fluid through the line so thought I had an air lock bought a vacuum pump and still no go have vacuum straight on the supply line for the slave to rule out a defective new and Cant get a vacuum unless the clutch pedal is to the floor and as soon as I lift the pedal I loose the vacuum am I right in thinking the master is also gone?
might be worth noting there is zero pressure in the pedal and zero resistance it slams to the floor of its own accord have topped off the fluid and while trying to bleed it has remained topped off Cant figure it out
Clutch wont bleed

C5 clutch problem
Hi all having a bit of bother with a dropped clutch on 2012 c5 tourer
Clutch pedal dropped with very little warning two days before failure it was sluggish returning up one day before failure nothing noticable happened and the day it failed it partially dropped but had just about enough travel to get it home
So a went about ordering a master and slave cylinder couldn't get a master so pressed on with the slave changed it out the old one litterally fell apart while I was removing it before I did anything checked under the rubber boot and it contained some fluid so safe to say is was gone .
Now I Cant get it to bleed have a vacuum pump connected directly to the supply line and still Cant bleed the line but can get a vacuum if I leave the clutch pedal to the floor but still no fluid
Might be worth noting I have zero resistance or zero pressure on the pedal after changing the slave is it possible both cylinders went bad at the same time?

Re: Clutch wont bleed
It's likely that the master cylinder failed it the pedal dropped, this company supplies repair kits.
