CITROEN C4 2008 1.6 HDI 110 9HY INJECTOR CODE ISSUE

CITROEN C4 1.6 HDI DV6TED4 9HY year 2008
The reference of the engine ecu : 0281 011 629


Recently I replaced my injectors (0445110259) with newer ones (0445110297) which are a little different at the head (see the picture ) : https://im.ge/i/2JR2PX

But impossible to code them via DIAGBOX, the calculator did not recognize them.

So I get a fault code: injector classification error.

The car starts and drives normally, but the engine doesnt run smoothly, and there is a slight tapping noise and vibrations at idle

Several people told me to go to the main dealership to update the engine ecu in order to be able to program the most recent injectors
but before spending any money, I want to make sure that the update will solve the problem.

I want to know if someone already did it

It's important that you get the correct part numbers for replacement injectors. You should replace them with the exact part number or you will get issues. Some injectors need a long code and others use a classification code - but of course all this depends on the injectors being the correct ones for your vehicle in the first place.

Please provide your VIN and I'll compare those part numbers.

So as I thought, you can't really use the injectors from the second donor vehicle - they are not the correct type for this engine ECU. Stick to the correct part number: 0445110259
