2nd time, I went to correct a post from preview and the whole thing evaporated!
After changing the maf tube, cleaning and eventually replacing the EGR (like for like, Delphi), I got only temporary respite from my hiccupping on take-off, surging at neutral throttle, seasickness inducing problem.
The car... C5 2.0L Diesel auto Exclusive Estate 79Kmiles
I decided, with some trepidation, to do a Dpf burn-out, as the car only does mainly short trips and I am surrounded by 20,30, and 40mph limits for some miles, the auto box "manual" selector has not worked since I got the car two and a half years ago, so the thrashing cure is not really on.
With the car warmed up I went through the set-up of the forced regeneration on my handheld iCarsoft FR V2.0 until, at the last OK, it gave the message "this car does not support this procedure" can this be true?
Has anyone had this problem, my sympathies, and/or have a solution. I am running out of understandable information to gather; people tend to go into number-letter speak, a language I have little comprehension of, I try to maintain my humour, but I am a passenger, and the bend is fast approaching.

Re: C5 DPF forced regeneration
Try a long run, as long as you can manage without stops, I would say around fifty miles, in which time the engine should have achieved a sufficient temperature to perform a regeneration.
Turn on lights, screen/mirror heaters and seat heaters to increase the load on the engine.
You can often recover a lost post with the back button.

Re: C5 DPF forced regeneration
I've force regenerated a few earlier C5s using Lexia diagnostics and I'm sure if using Lexia yours would be amenable to it too...
It's rather spectacular and entertaining whilst in progress

Even more so if you do it when its dark & you can see hot embers coming out the exhaust pipe.
Sounds like the software you are using is the problem, im not aware of any DPF equipped PSA vehicles that dont support forced regeneration via OBD.

For PSA vehicles, this is the DIAGBOX/LEXIA.
