Hi All
405 lxtd est 1996 has over the past week developed a serious creaking when braking, appears to come from front and rear.
Any suggestions as to what it is and how to rectify?

probably creaking caliper sliders. A 106 I used to curse at suffered horribly from it.
Clean everything well, use plenty of copper grease on the sliders, and some on the backs of the pads. This may stop it, otherwise I wouldn't worry too much. A number of Pug's I've had creaked to one degree or another.
