Just acquired the Xsara but it only came with one remote control/key! How do I get a second one?
Thanks

Re: Remote Control/Key Xsara Picasso
Your VIN is incorrect. It should only be 17 alpahnumeric in length. Can you please update your profile John.
There are 2 types of fob provided by Citroen and which one you need depends on your electronic architecture of the vehicle. So the new official one will cost either £130 or £240 depending on the correct one you need.
You could also look for an alternative cheaper unit from a third party supplier, who may be able to supply and code one for you cheaper.

Re: Remote Control/Key Xsara Picasso
Remember they will still need to be programed too with a suitable key programmer or Lexia, not sure if you have access to Lexia or not. If using Lexia you will also need you 4 digit security code, If you dont have this you will need to get it from a dealer, some will give you it for free but some will charge up to £40 for it & you normally need to go in with the V5 & ID.
I would be amazed if a mobile auto locksmith couldn't supply, cut, obtain code & program a new remote key not far off (if not less than) what Citroen could just supply the remote & key blade for.
PS: If its the Picasso with the reg ending PZZ Then its the later type which is the cheaper one, Bear in mind though the remote doesent come supplied with a key blade, a blade insert cut to code from the dealer is an extra £40 on top too.
