Central Locking

Unread post by Berlingoboy1 »

Hi all, The Central Locking on my 09 Picasso has aways had a mind of its own, not working when its very cold weather, but now its locking itself every time I shut the drivers door,
I have already locked myself out but luckily my partner could drive to me with the second key,
Any ideas on this
Thanks in advance

I would check the wiring looms going from the door frame & into the door itself. They can be a little awkward to get at due to the rubber gaiter covering the looms, i would guess if it's a broken wire its more likely the drivers door as that obviously gets used the most. Pay particular attention to the thicker wires as they can't flex as much as thinner ones & it can make them a little more susceptible to deterioration. Another indication of a wiring fault is things like the electric mirror(s), door speaker & interior lights not working as they should.
Music keeps me going.
