Any advice on C5 X7 2.0 hdi automatic turbo problems?

Unread post by mung »

I have a 2010 C5 X7 hdi auto estate.
It is giving an 'anti pollution warning' I am guessing its the Turbo Pressure Solenoid Valve, or the turbo actuator but have no expertise on such things, just reading forums and looking at the error codes.

The symptoms are, any time the engine is reved to 3k rpm the anti polution warning appears on dash and the revs drop to 2krpm. On one occasion there was serious fumes coming into the cabin I assume maybe the system was trying a FAP regen and leaking back into cabin air system?

On motorway can get upto 70mph on flat but accelleration is non existant, on any long hill gradually slows sometimes dropping down to below 40mph.

I assume the sensor is saying pressures to high in turbo so its cutting power to prevent turbo damage?

Any help in where the sensors/actuators are how to access and test the solenoids and actuator?

I have had a look and it seems all the parts are at the back of the engine and not accessable without dropping the engine down with a car lift?

I attach below the pdf showing the fault code log (I assume only the ignition fault codes are relevant).

Any further test can be done with diAGBOX OR LEXIA?

I have just tried doing tests and the ODB shows the actuator is stuck closed.

Does that mean the EGR actuator, or the Turbo?
